Registration Info

Chepstow Academy of Dramatic Arts Casting Agency UK, represents young performers age between 4 - 25 years wishing to be represented by an agent. The Agency offers young performers opportunities to take part in exciting and worthwhile experiences from a wide range of entertainment platforms.

CADA Casting Agency manages actors, voice-over artistes, musicians, photographic models, chaperones, stand-ins, doubles, walk-on and background artistes in the South West and Wales.

Members represented by the Agency have the opportunity to be included each year in the Spotlight directory, the industry's 'casting bible’.

Who can join the Agency?

All CADA students may join the Agency, although this is not imperative. The agency should be seen as an additional extra and is not compulsory for students. Any young person who is currently or has attended a drama school, may also apply to join the agency.

We meet each student who wishes to be registered and replicate an actual audition environment. The purpose of this style of registration is to prepare the performers for any auditions or castings they may attend in the coming year.

What happens during the registration

All our registrations & renewals are held in a friendly, relaxed and positive environment. Artists are encouraged to give a small bio on camera. They will also be given a short extract from a commercial or film script to perform.

Other Information

Going to Auditions

The majority of auditions take place in London. Young performers under the age of 16 years are taken to auditions by parents or by our own licensed chaperones and the chaperone's expenses are paid for by the parents of children attending the casting. Parents are responsible for their own child's fares whether travelling via public transport, hired minibus, coach or if a chaperone's car is used. Chaperone's are licensed by their Local Education Authority.

Engagements

It is sometimes possible for the parent to act as a chaperone. Past experience has shown that children work better on set when accompanied by a chaperone rather than a parent. Chaperones are fully aware of laws pertaining to children in the industry. Chaperone fees on engagements are paid by the Studio or Management employing the young person.

CADA has a team of licensed chaperones who can chaperone students on professional work, performances or auditions.

Fees

CADA Casting Agency’s commission is 20 % of the gross rate including all chaperone fees, (the gross includes all spin off payments and residuals). VAT is chargeable on commission.

CADA training makes a considerable impact on our success rate. See our Credits page for a list of some of the professional work our students have undertaken and are currently involved in.
